QuickBooks error 6094 is triggered due to the third-party anti-virus programs blocking a few of the QuickBooks processes. These programs could be AVG anti-virus, SpyHunter Malware, and PC Tools Internet Security. QuickBooks error code 6094 can be resolved by following the steps below:

  1. For restoring the files from PC Tools Internet Security:

  • You need to stop the program from scanning the QuickBooks directory.

  • Go to the setting and click the menu option.

  • Then click on Quarantine.

  • Choose the items to Restore.

  • Click Yes, followed by OK.

To make an exception for the QuickBooks files from the PC Tools Internet Security, follow the steps below:

  • Navigate to the menu option in PC Tools Internet. Then go to the settings.

  • Click on the Global Action list, and choose the option that says Add to select. This will help you exclude the files and make exceptions.

  • Click OK once you have followed the above steps.

I encountered QuickBooks Error 6094 when trying to access my company file. After some research, I found that the best way to resolve it is by updating your antivirus software and adding exceptions for QuickBooks files.

QuickBooks Error 6094 occurs when QuickBooks is unable to start the Database Manager service. This error can be caused by various factors, such as issues with the Anti-virus software or the QuickBooks Database Manager service itself. To resolve this error, you can try the following steps:

  1. Update QuickBooks: Make sure you are using the latest version of QuickBooks. Updating to the latest release can often fix known issues and bugs.

  2. Disable Anti-virus Software: Temporarily disable or turn off your anti-virus software, especially if it's a third-party security software. Some anti-virus programs may interfere with QuickBooks processes, including the Database Manager service.

  3. Add Exceptions to Anti-virus: If disabling the anti-virus resolves the issue, consider adding exceptions or exclusions in your anti-virus settings for QuickBooks and its related folders. This will allow QuickBooks to run without interference.

  4. Run QuickBooks Database Server Manager as Administrator:

    • Close QuickBooks and all its related processes.
    • Right-click on the QuickBooks icon and choose "Run as administrator."
    • Open QuickBooks Database Server Manager.
    •
