Steps to Reset the QuickBooks Administrator Password

Step 1: Open QuickBooks and enter Admin in the username field. Leave the password blank and click the Forgot password option.
Step 2: In case you enabled the Challenge Question option on QuickBooks you can simply enter the answer to your question and follow the steps to reset the Admin password.
Step 3: If you do not know the answer to the Challenge Question you can click I forgot my password and open the Reset QuickBooks Administrator Password form.

• Login into your QuickBooks company file as admin
• Open the Company menu and select the QuickBooks user
• Select Edit User and enter the new QuickBooks password in the password field
