What to do when QuickBooks Payroll Error 15106 occurs

QuickBooks Payroll Error 15106 occurs when you download QB Desktop updates. This is followed by a message:  The update program cannot be opened. The update program is damaged. Error 15106 generally occurs due to the detection of a spy sweeper in the antivirus program.

 

Follow the steps given to fix this error.

  • Log in as an Admin.
  • Look for the spysweeper.exe file and end its process.
  • Turn off the UAC.
