Yes, you can uninstall and then reinstall your QB application to resolve the QuickBooks search not working issue. Do this as below:

  • Press the Start button and get Control Panel on the screen.

  • Click on the program and features tab and Uninstall QuickBooks from there.

  • After it gets uninstalled, download a new QB package from the official website.

  • When the download completes, click twice on it and install it by going through the on-screen prompts.

  • Alternatively, you can also go through the QuickBooks clean install tool to do the same.
