Worst roads and most number of death in India, India's data on road accidents

  • As per the reports of Central govt and some foreign outlets, with 17 deaths in an hour, India holds the title of a nation with most deaths in road accidents in the entire world.
  • As per the last year records, India has 1230 road accidents per day in which 414 people dies. Indians road had 51 accidents per hour in which 17 people died.
  • According to the world road certificate report, America and Japan have more accidents than India, but India's mortality rate is 4 times greater than this.
  • Reports revealed that almost 57% of people who died in these accidents were on foot or bicycle riders and it shows that the new motor vehicle act isn't able to stop the road accidents.
  • Reports also revealed that a dip of 50 thousand cases has been seen in comparison to 2015. Most of the people who died in the road accident have an age between 5 to 29 years.
