The Odisha government has announced a 14-day complete lockdown in four districts.
Ganjam, Khurda, Cuttack and Jajpur district and Rourkela city will be locked down from 9 pm from Friday to July 31.
Chief Secretary A K Tripathy said that aggressive surveillance will be conducted during the period in these areas to contain the spread of the disease.
He also said that all industrial units, factories, hotels and IT units will be allowed to function with bare minimum staff.
He further said that movement of the people will be restricted and shops, commercial establishments, offices and institutions will remain closed during the period.
