Maharashtra BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis alleged that the state govt is under-utilizing its capacity to conduct more COVID-19 tests.
He also demanded the correct data of the total number of people who died outside the hospital, from the govt.
Fadnavis wrote a letter to CM Uddhav Thackeray and denoted that on an average only 4,000 tests are being done in Mumbai in a contrast to Health Minister Rajesh Topes claim of daily 25,000 tests.
He wrote, In Mumbai, 2,01,507 tests were done till June 1. The number was 3,33,752 on June 30. That means 1,32,245 tests were done in June."
He further added, Out of 1,32,245 tests 36,559 people were found positive. That means the rate of infection is 28 %. The national rate of infection is 6.39 %.
