• Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh expressed his wish to contest the next Assembly elections in the state. 
• He said that the decision on leading the party rests with the Congress president.
• Responding to the question of roping Prashant Kishor he said, "Kishor has said that he would be quite happy to come and help." 
• He said that he had discussed the matter with Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who had left the decision of hiring Kishor on him. 
• On Navjot Singh Sidhu he said that he (Sidhu) is very much a part of the Congress and had been in touch with the party high command in that capacity.
