• Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Monday expressed his gratitude to the corona warriors for their efforts in controlling the spread of deadly virus.
• Praising their efforts he further said that Bengaluru has set an example on how to effectively manage the pandemic & gradually restart the economy.
• The Centre on Sunday identified 4 cities as role models for handling Covid-19 pandemic.
• While lauding Jaipur and Indore metropolitan areas for innovative ways of tackling a high caseload, the Government also lauded Chennai and Bengaluru as examples of large cities which have succeeded in keeping the mortality rates low so far.
• It should be noted that both Bengaluru and Chennai managed to contain the mortality rate to just about a per cent, which is much lower than the national average of about three per cent.
