• Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren govt has decided not to implement relaxation guidelines issued by the center after there was an increase in the cases of COVID-19 in the state.
• The CRPF personnel have been asked to monitor the situation in Ranchi's Hindpiri locality where the first case of COVID-19 was followed after which the cases increased.
• Borders of Ranchi will also be sealed to contain the spread of COVID-19.
• Soren said, "We have taken some important decisions to stop the pandemic in view of the sudden rise in coronavirus cases in the state." 
• "The government will not implement the central guidelines to give relaxation to some shops," Soren said.
