US President Donald Trump praised thanked PM Modi and India for allowing the export of HCQ a drug used to treat COVID-19.
In a tweet, Trump said, "Extraordinary times require even closer cooperation between friends. Thank you, India and the Indian people for the decision on HCQ."

India partially lifted the ban on the export of 24 pharmaceutical ingredients and medicines including hydroxychloroquine.
Earlier Trump said that India may have to face retaliation if it did not lift the restriction on HCQ.
