Problem
When you try to install Internet Security for Mac on macOS 10.13 (also known as macOS High Sierra), the installation might fail with the following message:

System Extension Blocked
A program tried to load new extensions signed by McAfee, inc. If you want to enable these extensions, go to the Security & Privacy System Preference pane.

When you start Internet Security for Mac after seeing this message, your security status is red, or shows as At risk.

Cause
This issue is caused by a change to the standard installation procedure in macOS High Sierra.

When an application tries to enable a kernel extension (also known as a kext) during installation, macOS prompts the user to authorize the installation of the kext. In earlier versions of Mac OS, the kext was installed automatically without the user being prompted.

The McAfee kext used in Internet Security for Mac allows our virus scanner, firewall, and Site Advisor components to integrate closely within macOS.
