Skin colour change, rashes, discoloration, inflammation and dark spots can be one of the major signs or skin cancer. If you keep a track of your skin, you can easily find the slight changes that start occurring due to this cancer.
There are two types of skin cancer; melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer. Melanoma is generally due to over-exposure to the sun. However, non-melanoma skin cancer is very dangerous and can be difficult to cure. Whatever type of skin cancer be, it is dangerous so you need to track the early signs of it before its too late.
Spot: If you observe a spot on your skin that doesn't heal within 4 weeks, consult a doctor. If the spot hurts, bleed or is sore, you need to immediately consult a dermatologist.
Eczema: It is one of the early signs of skin cancer. It is especially seen on the joined skin. For example, eczema is observed on the elbows, joints, palms etc.
Rosacea: If the skin around nose, chin, cheeks, forehead and eyes become red and burns, it is rosacea. The redness deepens with time and blood vessels start showing up under the skin. Sore bumps or pus filled pimples characterise this early sign of skin cancer.
Moles: It is one of the most common and early signs of skin cancer. If the mole becomes bigger and darker with time, then it needs medical attention. Moreover, appearance of dark speckles around a mole should not be taken lightly.
Birthmark colour change: Most of us have a birthmark which is permanent. If the birthmark starts expanding on the skin and becomes bigger, it can be of the early signs of skin cancer. If the birthmark becomes itchy, red or starts spreading all over the body, then it is a sign of skin cancer.
Soreness: If you have a red and sore bump on the skin that remains even after 4 weeks, you need to consult a dermatologist. Even fluid-filled blisters can be dangerous for the skin. This is caused due to herpes simplex virus.
Skin rashes: Few plants with oil coating can trigger skin problems and can also lead to skin cancer. If you observe redness or swelling be the skin after 12 hours of contact with the plant, it can be dangerous. So, do not take skin allergy lightly.
